Pros
There are some genuinely great and kind people that I met while I worked there.
They discuss UN SDGs and align to the ones about the environment in most ways.
I was able to regain my confidence after I left.
Cons
I haven't felt this disempowered since high school.
There was a consistent trend of every time we had a meeting one person had to receive a dismissive comment or directive that varied greatly from the prior directive. My mental health and eventually physical health suffered greatly for it.
Blackstone has an employee on the board to protect their PE investment.
"We'll have to run it by the GMB" is said constantly to the point it feels like an AI engine.
Highly resistant to AI governance.
No answers when asked about how they reconcile AI against their "UN SDGs"
Rapid acquisitions, ableist, UK-centric sentiments.
Blackstone acquired the entire utility system in NM which will allow them to hold a monopoly with Trump's enablement and it was too overtly evil so I had to leave.
