Flexibility in the workplace is very important to us. We recognize that everyone’s situation is different and we pride ourselves in providing flexibility to our people while also balancing deadlines and the needs of our clients. Prior to COVID, we provided a structured Work From Home plan to our employees that allowed them to work remotely 1-2 days per week after attaining the skills to work independently. Once COVID restrictions began, we found that our efforts in this area helped us to transition efficiently to working remotely. As you know, we are allowing all employees to work remotely and/or come into our offices, subject to distancing restrictions.
We are always seeking ways to strengthen how we communicate with employees on career trajectory and what it takes to advance to the next level. Through the semi-annual evaluation process, Huselton, Morgan and Maultsby's mentorship program and our recent employee goal setting exercise, we believe that, more than ever, the tools are in place to openly communicate about an employee’s progress in the firm and their goals to attain the next level of their career. Our goal is for transparency, and to that end, we encourage our employees to be direct in their questions and to fully understand what it takes on their part to progress. Advanced knowledge, skill, display of leadership qualities and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues results in added responsibility and advancement which, in turn, leads to salary growth.
