      Working with people is rewarding. Colleagues make it better.

      Cons

      Caseload unmanageable. Management poor. Blame culture is rife. Not enough hours in the day to do things properly. Salary doesn’t reflect the risks you take with your own safety, mental health or time.

      Brilliant team of colleagues Can make strong overtime money if you're prepared to work almost 24/7 Strong pension if you make it that far

      No longer a long-term career Minimal support from management Entire system is overworked, over capacity and as a result crippled Minimal support and aftercare from incidents Anything and everything is scrutinised Prisoner-pleasing, anti-staff
