Pros

The company has a work from home program that helps an employee save on commuting expenses. In addition most managers are very flexible when it comes to taking time off in last minute situations.

Cons

The company instituted two corporate policies that really changed the work environment. One is the use of a forced ranking system on employee reviews. An employee's rating often becomes a popularity contest, or the outcome of bargaining sessions amongst the managers. 10% of the workforce are ranked 'below average' regardless of performance, and managers can't tell you who are your peers and/or higher ranked coworkers. In addition they no longer share market data on compensation, which they freely did in the past. Year end reviews previously gave you a target salary along with a %age of where you stand, now they tell you to go find the market data salaries on your own.
