Pros

A global company on your CV (despite the reputation). I would recommend only planning a brief career with this company- look to move on as soon as you have the opportunity. This is not a happy or encouraging company to work for.

Cons

The Australian subsidiary presents itself as the employment standard in retail and consumer products whilst running the operation like a middle market brand, treating employees in stores like children. You will be very disappointed with the remuneration which is never up for discussion or negotiation. Head office are generally disorganised, disrespectful in their written and oral communication, and will refuse to listen to any constructive feedback. HR are unhelpful and encourage gossip and sabotage. Some upper managers at head office are so horrible in their communication you would rather not answer the phone when their ID pops up. We would often have a lot of staff call in sick the day a regional manager was visiting as they just didn’t feel like being grated and disrespected.
