Wonderful and supportive - Jr. Developer HackBright Academy Employee Review

As a student I excelled and enjoyed every minute of my bootcamp, the instructors were awesome and the cohorts are managed extremely well.

A LOT of information covered and ends up being much more than 40 hours a week in work and review.

Hackbright's mission is awesome (getting more underrepresented genders into software engineering)

-I was a part time instructor for Hackbright's Python prep course. I stopped teaching for a few months and asked to come back to TA there software engineering course (one of the team management members said this would be fine). They said they were discussing it and I sent 2-3 follow up slack messages mostly to the management memebers of the software engineering program. These were all completely ignored and they booted me from the Slack without saying anything. I received excellent reviews as an instructor and feel this was completely inappropriate considering the effort I'd put in as a Hackbright instructor. -Their material is honestly not concise or well written and could be taught in a much more effective way. -MANY students have difficulty finding jobs after leaving Hackbright but we are sort of forced to lie about this as instructors. Some came back and tried to be TAs at Hackbright after not being able to find jobs.
