Pros

Good brands and that’s about it.

Cons

A family business which seemingly turns a blind eye to how badly the business is run by the CEO and Board. The company is complete and utter chaos. There is no operating strategy between departments, employees, brands or customers. The business has been struggling for several years driven by the CEO and his squandering of money on bars, distilleries and large sums owed to HMRC. Long lunches don’t help his decision-making or ability to act in the right manner - clearly out his depth. The company strategy changes by the day meaning staff are simply paralysed on what to do and are scared to challenge back. Staff receive emails with threats of redundancy and inability to pay salaries that month and “heads will roll” “can’t beat a public flogging”. Emails come in day, night and weekends. Heaven forbid if you don’t take your phone on holiday! At the same time, the little money the business has is squandered on high end electric cars that nobody asked for. The company is running on methane with inadequate staffing levels across Depts. Morale is low with no employee welfare whilst the multi millionaire simply doesn’t care. Lots of companies stopped trading with Russia since the war started. This business takes it as an opportunity to increase sales to Russia. Swerve this business. There is no long term future here.

Pros

The Halewood portfolio consists of several award-winning spirits and beers, including its flagship Whitley Neill Gin that is the best-selling premium gin in the U.K., Pogues Irish Whiskey, Zyr Russian Vodka, Gelston’s Irish Single Malt Whiskey, Marylebone Gin and Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer. Given the thirst for unique, high-quality artisanal products in the U.S., the strength of our distribution partners, and Halewood’s above-the-line support we are confident our brands will make their mark with consumers quickly.”

Cons

Had 1 month to lock in a distributor for the state of California and as soon as I did they let me go., Then that Covid hit and the let all upper management go.
