Pros

Pretty much nothing at this point.

Cons

Where do I begin? Every job you are ever going to do will be disorganized whether it be missing hardware to walking into a place and them not expecting you that day to being told the job is one thing and you go to the customer and it’s a completely different job to not having the parts you need to do the job etc... If you are a woman be prepared to be treated like you are less than, no matter the department you are in. If you are a woman be prepared to make less than the guy that does the same job as you even if you do work harder than him. There are some departments that you won’t ever get a steady 40 hours a week and they will continue to hire people even though they don’t have hours for the people that are there. There are a lot of fake people that work here and there is a CLEAR divide between office people and shop/service/install people. You won’t get in trouble for anything....sit in your vehicle for hours while on a job, let one person work for an extra hour while everybody else cleans up and talks until that person is done, lie about the hours you worked in the office or shop....absolutely no repercussions. If you bust your butt you will hardly ever get noticed...you might get an “atta boy” and a pat on the back once in a while but if you work harder than everybody else for the most part you will get screwed over and looked over. Absolutely no communication between people in the same department let alone people in other departments even if your desk is 5’ from one another. You will get phone calls asking the same questions from multiple different people because no one communicates.

Pros

Some of the employees are fantastic. Management, not as much, and the executives, not at all.

Cons

I worked at Han-Tek for a number of years, and being let go was probably the highlight of my time there. The entire organization operates on chaos and disorganization, and it’s usually up to the employees to try and pick up the pieces of whatever management decides we need to do that day. If you’re just looking for experience to add to your resume, this place is great for that, but you’re looking for a lasting career and value your peace of mind/sanity, Han-Tek is not the place for you.
