Pros

This is a great internship opportunity where you'll learn a lot about digital marketing. It covers anything from social media marketing, to coding, or email campaigns. The company is very flexible with your schedule as a part time intern, which was also great.

Cons

The only con to this position is that you're the only intern in the office, so you get placed with all of the "internship duties". However, it also provides more learning opportunities.

Pros

Interning at The Hanger Project is a great place to develop professional skills in various areas retail. You learn everything from social media management to email marketing and photography. Because it is a smaller company, you are able to get hands on experience in many areas versus just one small category. It is a fun work environment with very friendly coworkers.

Cons

There is very limited office space and a lot of job responsibilities. However, if you are looking for a place to develop various skills; this is the place for you.

Pros

The Marketing Manager, Jessie Elizondo is patient and you'll get more experience here as an intern than you will in the classroom. Jessie set aside time to go above and beyond to teach me everything from traditional marketing to all things digital. I left learning how to use photoshop better, how to take stylized shots, assisted with video production, and more. Not only did I hone my copywriting skills, the marketing manager trusted me completely to handle social media (from handling PR to advertising, to creating creative social media copy.) You will work in a respectful environment and the marketing manager will not micro manage you. You will feel more like a team as opposed to having a supervisor-intern dynamic. Both I and my co-intern were able to secure a full-time job before graduation thanks to everything we learned throughout the duration of our internship. You'll get hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Ad words, FB ads manager. You'll learn how to manage social media, hone your copywriting skills, create email marketing campaigns. On top of everything you'll learn, they're flexible with your schedule and you'll be working with a genuinely amazing team. Dashira and Jessie are both wonderful resources to go to and are open to answering any questions you may have.

Cons

The Cons fall in line with my advice to upper management: If I have 3-5 years of social media management experience, analytics experience, and have been writing in your company's brand voice, please allow me to do my job without responding to customers/followers and veering away from what we've been building. Please let your qualified marketing team (intern and Marketing Manager) handle ALL social media PR. We can help grow your follower base, engage authentically with your customers, and most importantly, keep your brand image squeaky clean instead of coming off elitist or pretentious.
