Pros

No micromanaging, pay was decent

Cons

Arbitrarily firing people. They give false praise in a false sense of security and then they will lay you off/fire you. They are really good at making you believe that they are a caring company.. and they most certainly are as long as you are in their little clique. I was fired two weeks after receiving a raise.

Pros

remote work, ability to work independently without micromanagement (but almost too much so...left floundering with no management...never thought I would actually wish for some micromanaging!)

Cons

Red flags from the start - received laptop prior to first day but no log in information so had to use my own laptop to try and get connected with IT the first day which was challenging and very frustrating, IT never sent the other offered/requested equipment (and by the time I realized it was not coming I had my own extra monitors set up), you're told to be on camera all the time and on the first day but no one was except the new hires, employees vaping during on-camera staff meetings, no structured training-lots of scheduled trainings canceled the first 2 weeks, you pretty much need to figure things out yourself, key information to do the job was not given until months in, you're told to ask others for help but questions go unanswered (by coworkers, team lead and management) and/or you receive conflicting answers, so much conflicting information given by various departments-makes it very difficult to do your job, no supervision or regular check-ins by managers/department heads, responsible PTO policy is not as good as it sounds - it really means no more than 2 weeks per year otherwise you get flagged by HR so people are afraid to take any time off, no feedback on performance or how you are doing and no recognition or even acknowledgment for successes, I was laid off with no notice after 6 months despite not being among the last few hired; they just want to hire offshore workers so they can pay them less; weekly all staff meetings are a joke - they are led by management who make inside jokes and talk about all the fun they have at conferences and then employees give each other "high fives" for basically doing their jobs, when I was laid off the call came from someone in HR I had never interacted with and it did not even include my manager and it was literally a 20 second call with zero empathy or reason about being laid off and I was locked out of all my systems within minutes (which made me feel like some kind of criminal and I couldn't even let my coworkers know what happened). Scarred for life because of this company!
