Pros
It's a job and the guy who owns the tv station is ready to pay for his amusement, however low the pay may be. The trouble is the station is his own private little toy and he plays with it and with all the people in it as if they were objects, not humans. And he thinks he knows everything, which he doesn't. That's too bad because he has some people who know the business on his payroll.
Cons
Watching people being molested by lower brains who don't understand the job can get extremely frustrating. There's too much fuss over extremely irrelevant issues, and there's too little paying attention to what really matters. It's a clear case of form being more important than content. And when it comes to TV, that's dangerous. And ratings speak for themselves.
