Pros
Harper Grey was my first step into Legal Marketing. I am grateful for the experience that it gave me, and the things that I learned during my time there. My particular position required me to work early and late for certain events, but for the most part there was good work-life balance. Harper Grey, like many law firms, has a great benefits package. There are lots of great people who made working at HG enjoyable.
Cons
There are little to no growth opportunities. As this firm is regional with only one office, there is only the need for 2-3 marketing positions. For this reason, I would consider Harper Grey a "starting point" in your career if this is the line of work you want to pursue. Management does not give out references as a "policy". If/when you do move on from Harper Grey, this will be something you have to work around when applying for future jobs. Luckily for me, HR was very supportive and has given me references. Like most jobs at large companies, there are going to be personalities that are challenging at times. Learning to navigate the political hierarchy will take some time, and you need to have a thick skin.
