Pros
For many years this was a fantastic place to work, but no more. The former owner cared about people, was honest, hard working and loved to help the company grow and make money for all of us.
Cons
Current ownership and most management is in Canada. They abandoned all of the policies that helped the company grow and maintain profitability for so long and implemented a business model that may have worked in Canada, but not in the United States. In Canada there is almost no competition so customers are at their mercy, but the U.S is very different. Customers expectations are higher. They demand service, sales and warranty support, good inventory fill-rates and accurate shipments. All of these values became nonexistent over the past few years. At one time, one of my largest customers stopped buying from us because nine out of ten orders arrived without a packing slip and the warehouses had no system in place to verify that orders were complete and accurate.
