Pros

- Fair PTO, holidays, sick days, biweekly remote days. I never had a time off request denied. - Lots of company events from Christmas parties, weekly fruit day in the employee lounge, and fitness challenges with prizes. - Nice new office building in a nice location. - Generally not expected to work late until Senior Property Accountant

Cons

- Terrible training - inconsistency of procedure from team leader to team leader. - unclear expectations - high employee turnover - Unsupportive and defensive managment. Multiple people, myself included, were written up when we brought up issues with processes and management. If you bring up a problem, you will be seen as the problem. - No career longevity. - No reward for hard work. - Promotions don't come with enough compensation to for the extra responsibilities they include - Pay overall should be much higher for the work load demanded

Pros

- Positive "LIVE IT Culture" - HRP promotes internal growth, I started in Leasing with no experience and within 2 years, I worked my way up to Community Manager. After 4 and a half years on site, I was promoted to Talent Acquisition Specialist at our corporate office. - SO MUCH SUPPORT & TRAINING. You will never feel like you have to figure it all out on your own. - Fun work environment, lots of events, friendly competitions, team building. - HRP promotes healthy work life balance. - Great benefits! A Free year of diaper subscription for new mothers and fathers, fitness reimbursements, high percentage 401K matching, free subscriptions to apps like Noom & Calm and too many more to list here. - THIS COMPANY CARES ABOUT YOU! You are not just a number to them. They care about the employees and the residents. - Annual Leadership Conference - so much fun! It is a great opportunity to connect with other leaders and come back to your site feeling refreshed and excited. - I could go on and on, I love Hawthorne and truly appreciate all that this company has done and how it has helped me to grow personally & professionally.

Cons

- There are a lot of opportunities, which can mean wearing multiple hats.. great for learning, but can be overwhelming at times if you do not reach out to leaders for support and maintain a positive attitude.
