This was my first job in property management and the other staff had their own clique. Felt like an outcast in a non-friendly environment. They were not welcoming at all. Unrealistic expectations. Terrible experience. Very poor communication from management. Management was very hypocritical, very unprofessional and not qualified to be a manager. I was told I would be trained in this position and Manager basically just threw me out there and expected the world's best leasing consultant. I would clean every Monday for about an hour and have to watch my manager just sit there on their phone. Then still come back to follow up with 30+ prospects. Manager left almost every day around 4 and was upset when I contacted her about any resident issues and talked to me like I was her child. Upper management is a joke and doesn’t really care about any concern you may have. My last 2 weeks were absolutely horrible. Upper management never answered emails when having a question dealing with residents. Locked out of my outlook account the day after giving in my 2 weeks' notice and basically got kicked out of everything like I never even worked there. Even having my job posted and 2-3 days after giving the notice.

- Positive "LIVE IT Culture" - HRP promotes internal growth, I started in Leasing with no experience and within 2 years, I worked my way up to Community Manager. After 4 and a half years on site, I was promoted to Talent Acquisition Specialist at our corporate office. - SO MUCH SUPPORT & TRAINING. You will never feel like you have to figure it all out on your own. - Fun work environment, lots of events, friendly competitions, team building. - HRP promotes healthy work life balance. - Great benefits! A Free year of diaper subscription for new mothers and fathers, fitness reimbursements, high percentage 401K matching, free subscriptions to apps like Noom & Calm and too many more to list here. - THIS COMPANY CARES ABOUT YOU! You are not just a number to them. They care about the employees and the residents. - Annual Leadership Conference - so much fun! It is a great opportunity to connect with other leaders and come back to your site feeling refreshed and excited. - I could go on and on, I love Hawthorne and truly appreciate all that this company has done and how it has helped me to grow personally & professionally.

Cons

- There are a lot of opportunities, which can mean wearing multiple hats.. great for learning, but can be overwhelming at times if you do not reach out to leaders for support and maintain a positive attitude.
