Pros

The people at the company are very nice. Also, the benefits and perks are great. They do their best create a Silicon Valley work environment in LA.

Cons

I think the bipolar-ness of the reviews here are reflective of the company's status. When you're brought on, everything is wonderful, and the company seems to be in great shape. However, it won't be soon until you notice that under the beautiful office and work culture, there is CHAOS. Some degree of chaos is expected at a start-up, but the issue at Headspace is that NOTHING GETS FIXED. It's either ignored or covered up by upper management. Many times, issues are covered up by one or two ways: 1) People are let go/fired, and not in the best taste either. Start-ups, including Headspace, are ruthless when it comes to letting people go, but it's extra disappointing for a company that promotes kindness. It also creates anxiety within the office. 2) We hire someone from a big name company to provide us ease that they'll fix our problems. It's probably costing the company so much money to bring these people on. No wonder we need to let other hard-working people go. Also, another reason for the bipolar-ness of the reviews may because you're asked to review the company once you get a job offer. In my opinion, that's bad taste as well. Who in their right mind would write a honest review at that point??

Pros

-they offer great resources for members to utilize -continued education to sharpen your coaching skills

Cons

-there have been so many changes and expectations that are frustrating to navigate -they expect way too much for so little pay and no benefits -this role is so taxing on your own mental health... many of the members that you see aren't a good fit for coaching, so you're also filtering a lot of members for therapy and navigate really heavy mental health conversations that aren't within the scope of coaching -feedback isn't delivered live, it's all put in a spreadsheet that's clearly input by automation
