Pros
Remote work, lots of empathy embedded in culture of coaches
Cons
Such a disconnect between executives/directors with the care team. Over the last few years, there has been a big decline around actually feeling valued as a coach to the company and a sharp increase of feeling on edge with more layoffs and changes. The experience of coaches has not been taken into account as it had been in the past, especially prior to the merger of Ginger with Headspace, and it has been heartbreaking to see the change from a people first business to a profits first business. AI has its uses, but it is dangerous to add that into a space that deals with mental health where humans come onto the platform often wanting help around meaningful connections with other humans. The dream and vision that was once had in the culture of this company has been lost in the haze of profit driven choices. Where there once had been an opportunity to innovate and create something new, the choice has become clear that the company is just listening to competitors to steer the ship.
