Pros

Really meaningful company mission and really great people to work with on the ground.

Cons

At its core, the really powerful mission is being completely eroded by a completely incompetent and apathetic leadership team. Both in the way they have handled the companies finances over the years, to the goals they set, it’s clear they have no idea how to create and enact a strategic vision. And at the top, you have the most soulless, most delusional CEO I have ever come across. The best way to truly judge a company is when things do get a little rocky, do they stick to their values; do they continue to be empathetic towards their employees. With the most recent restructure, it’s abundantly clear that Healios doesn’t. If I were leading an NHS Trust, I would run a mile from Healios. As should any prospective employee. Avoid.

Pros

Working at Healios has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. As someone in the tech team, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do directly supports high-quality ADHD and autism assessments that make a real difference to children, young people, and families. There’s a clear sense of purpose across the company, and it genuinely feels like everyone is aligned around helping people get the support they need. Culture & People: The culture at Healios is one of the standout reasons I enjoy working here. People are friendly, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other. There’s a strong sense of psychological safety—sharing ideas, asking questions, or challenging assumptions is encouraged and respected. Even when working remotely, the team spirit comes through. Work–Life Balance: Healios really understands balance. The flexibility and trust given to employees make it easy to manage both work and personal commitments without stress. Workloads are reasonable, expectations are clear, and there’s no culture of “always on.” It’s refreshing to be somewhere that values output and wellbeing equally. Tech Environment: From a tech perspective, there’s a healthy mix of modern practices, continuous improvement, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful solutions. The team is supportive, open to experimentation, and focused on building a tool that actually helps clinicians.

Cons

We've had a few rounds of redundancies in past
