Pros

Nice onboarding process. Other than that, no pros during my time at Healios.

Cons

I left a very good job to come work for Healios and 6 weeks into my role at Healios they made me redundant. Healios will collapse. It is NOT sustainable. DO NOT apply for a job here. I give it a year before the company folds. Healios have not make a profit in the 10 years of operating. You’d think for a company within the mental health sector you’d get some sort of empathy and compassion whilst being made redundant, I received none. I felt incredibly isolated and alone during my time at Healios with no regard to my wellbeing. The poor treatment I’ve received has severely effected my mental health and for a company that has no regard or compassion it’s actually quite dangerous. The lack of transparency and internal communication is pathetic. Management do not care.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate and value your feedback and are pleased that you found the onboarding process a positive experience. We’re sorry to read your concerns. We’d like to assure you that the decision to undergo an organisational restructure was not taken lightly. During the consultation period we increased communications to support those affected. We recognise that this can be a difficult time and always aim to handle such situations with sensitivity and transparency, as well as empathy and compassion. We’re also sorry to read your mental health has been affected during this process. At Healios we provide a wide-ranging wellbeing offer that we aimed to guide colleagues affected by the restructure to throughout the process and is always available to current employees. If you require urgent support at any time, please reach out to an organisation highlighted on our urgent support page at https://healios.org.uk/urgent-support/ If you’d like to discuss your concerns further, please email careers@healios.org.uk

Pros

Working at Healios has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. As someone in the tech team, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do directly supports high-quality ADHD and autism assessments that make a real difference to children, young people, and families. There’s a clear sense of purpose across the company, and it genuinely feels like everyone is aligned around helping people get the support they need. Culture & People: The culture at Healios is one of the standout reasons I enjoy working here. People are friendly, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other. There’s a strong sense of psychological safety—sharing ideas, asking questions, or challenging assumptions is encouraged and respected. Even when working remotely, the team spirit comes through. Work–Life Balance: Healios really understands balance. The flexibility and trust given to employees make it easy to manage both work and personal commitments without stress. Workloads are reasonable, expectations are clear, and there’s no culture of “always on.” It’s refreshing to be somewhere that values output and wellbeing equally. Tech Environment: From a tech perspective, there’s a healthy mix of modern practices, continuous improvement, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful solutions. The team is supportive, open to experimentation, and focused on building a tool that actually helps clinicians.

Cons

We've had a few rounds of redundancies in past
