Hierarchical bad attitudes - all talk; no trousers - Research and Knowledge Exchange Officer Health in Wales Employee Review

Pros

Extremely LGBTQ friendly and supportive. Proactive environmental and recycling policies. Exec team very friendly and supportive.

Cons

Big on collaborative working in theory but in practice rather segregated; a lot of senior clinicians difficult to engage with. A hierarchical structure which means that lower graded employees aren't necessarily treated as equals and some senior staff actively rude. Large offices, lots of teams, little opportunity to get to know colleagues around you if you have no cause to actively engage with them on specific projects.

Pros

-frequent trainings -kind management team -audit opportunities

Cons

-a large amount of FY1s have to stay after hours without compensation -time for Fy1 training is not communicated well or enforced throughout departments, many times seniors are in other departments and cannot cover the ward, leaving the fy1 to skip important training to cover the ward.
