Pros
-Great flexibility. -You get to work on interesting projects. -Good opportunity to get into the niche field of claims database research from the perspective of many functions (e.g., data management, analytics, epidemiology, project management).
Cons
-Pay is below market rate and most managers there aren't proactive in ensuring their employees are rewarded equitably. -Some senior leadership there is ineffective as a manager to the point of high attrition with folks they have direct contact with. -Low performing employees are often rewarded equitably to high performing employees, which can impact morale. -You can reach your ceiling fairly quickly there.
