Toxic Environment with Poor Leadership — Avoid If Possible - Anonymous employee HealthFund Solutions Employee Review

Pros

Honestly, not much. The pay is okay, but that’s about it. If anything, this job has taught me exactly what not to do if I want to work as a leader in healthcare. It’s been a valuable example of how poor leadership, lack of trust, and a toxic culture can completely undermine a workplace.

Cons

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. The work environment is incredibly toxic, with micromanagement to the point of exhaustion. Leadership clearly doesn’t trust their staff, refusing to let employees make independent decisions despite their education and experience. Turnover is out of control — people are constantly leaving without any announcement. You’ll only realize they’re gone when their name disappears from the directory. Nepotism is rampant, and it’s clear that leadership values connections over competence. Employees are treated like just another number, and demeaning behavior and bullying are disturbingly common. The benefits are mediocre at best, and there’s no real effort to create a supportive or empowering culture. People are consistently overspent and overassigned, juggling unrealistic workloads with little to no support. Burnout is inevitable, and leadership doesn’t care. Honestly, I’m shocked they even have a 2.8-star rating — it feels way too generous based on what I’ve experienced. And if they ask you about their Glassdoor reviews in your interview — take that as your first red flag. If they’re that focused on their reputation instead of fixing the problems driving people away, you’re already walking into trouble.
