HealthTap is one of the few companies that alter the course of an industry. And it's mission to help people live happier, healthier, longer lives is something that invigorates all of us every day! The leadership is fully committed and is always there for the employees. In particular, I think Ron (our founder and CEO) is the most passionate and creative person I have ever worked with. He has an open door policy for everyone to talk to him about anything. He even wrote his personal cell phone number on the whiteboard so people could directly reach out to him. His feedbacks may not always be pleasing to the ears, but it's truthful and helpful and is meant for the greater good of the company. His vision and leadership is what has made HealthTap a winner! The company currently has great momentum and there is tremendous amount of energy in the engineering team. The work we are are doing is pioneering in several ways. The culture is very open and collaborative. There is a lot of focus on trust and transparency. It's really an honor to be part of such a team!
Cons
HealthTap is still a startup. So while there is a lot of energy there is certainly scope for improvement in areas such as project management and hiring. We need to hire a lot of people to staff all the initiatives we have and do it fast. But it takes time to find the right kind of people. The company used to have very few holidays, but that is being addressed.
