Pros

-Very supportive team of incredible individuals -The office is in a house which leads to a more familial feel rather than going to your typical work space -Lunch outside or at a big dining table with coworkers from other departments that you may otherwise not see or have a chance to talk to very often is encouraged leading to the familial feel of the company -The company enjoys being part of a number of interesting projects that promote Colombia -Teletrabajo! (they allow one day to work from home which is amazing!)

Cons

-High turnover rate -It takes a specific issue, situation or negative review to be posted before a problem may be addressed by management -It was difficult to know who to go to in a given scenario -Compensation didn't include medical insurance -Needed to turn in the same packet of printed documents every month to get paid

Pros

decent pay for Colombia, some people actually trying to help others (but they're often let go for no reason and replaced with someone who will take less money)

Cons

Andrea Calderon is only in it for the money. Legally she may be running a nonprofit but she pays herself 13 million pesos or more per month (over $55,000 USD) which is A LOT of money in Colombia. Andrea fires people for no reason leaving them without work after they moved to Colombia to work there. Often staff work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with no recognition at all and will receive calls late at night even if they have an administrative job. Working at HFC is the definition of worker exploitation. No wonder they lost the contract with the Ministry of Education. They abused their power and now they've been left without any. Look elsewhere. This nonprofit is crumbling.
