Pros

A multi-disciplinary full service nationwide company. Great people to work with and interesting projects. Full services with local office presence and knowledge of local markets coupled with nationwide services support are a winning combination Large company provides opportunities to find your niche or move nationwide within the company.

Cons

New president brought in from outside the company does not understand the culture that made Heery great. Corporate identity and knowledge being lost. The second on-going reorganization in the past 4 years has gutted upper management. Morale is currently low due to job security worries and the stress of all the change.

Pros

Decent benefit package Good public clients Parent company has good values and opportunity to grow Work life balance is achievable

Cons

The local leader is chaotic, lacks transparency and accountability for their own decisions and has no direction for the office. There is a complete disconnect between the parent company, Turner & Townsend, and the local Heery office which seems to refuse to integrate into T&T values and direction, openly speaking poorly of the parent company. There is no clarity on promotions and promotions do not appear to be based upon actual output. What applies to some employees, does not apply to others, with leadership seeming to hold some back while others are gifted promotions without the same requirements as others. The culture in the office is that of "Good Ole Boys club" with inappropriate behavior being openly accepted by leadership simply by a refusal to address with the offending parties and often being the offenders themself.
