Pros
There are lots of smart people. Some are working on really cool novel technology. Business outcomes seem fairly promising, feels like we are delivering value to the customer.
Cons
- Horrible Work life balance. One could expect to work weekends and nights consistently. - Terrible use of resources. Many engineers are working on data labeling tasks for long periods of times (weeks, months). - People get let go on a whim fairly regularly. - No real culture. I know nothing about my coworkers. You sign in, do your job, and log off. I don't get the sense that anyone is happy or excited to be here. - Compensation is low. PTO policy is tight. They are stingy about logging days and accrual, which is fair. Though it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when we're expected to work weekends and nights for deliveries.
