Pros

Lots of hours. Most clients are easy going and are fun to be around. Get to take day trips during the day to parks, malls, etc center, etc... Pay is good. Than again you are working 40 to 70 some even 90 hours a week.

Cons

This company is so unorganized I don't know how they have managed to stay afloat for this long. The QDDP will call you up and ask you to cover a shift, and if you say no they all of a sudden make it seem like it is you're fault that someone called out. The company is a joke that not only screws the employees over but also in a way can have a bad effect on the clients. The company is in such demand of people they will hire anyone who has a clean record and will pass a drug test. They will hire people that have no people skills, and that are constant liars. The company refuses to fire people that always call in sick or just don't tell the truth half the time. the company when you're asked if you want less hours, turns around and adds more hours to you're tab. Some clients have meal plans that are outdated by 2 months. Most if not all clients books are outdated. The interview process is jacked very unprofessional. The interviewer had to keep asking their boss questions because I guess they do not have permission to hire even though their the ones interviewing and going through the process. More than 2 people walked in during the interview. The interview also seems to want to scare everyone away with outdated stories of stuff the clients did years ago. When asked if the client still acts like that they said no they have not had that behavior in over a year. Well why are you bringing it up? Right now the company is so short staffed that if even one person quits in some houses the client would only have 1 staff besides the QDDP to whatch them. 4 plus people quite in the same week probably for the same issue. Not many last long some don't even last a week because the company see not tell you how messed up their system is. Their is close to no communication between the DSP staff and the supervisors. So the DSP could be at x at the shift start but they where supposed to be at y. No one tells them this till A, it's to late, or B 10 minutes before shift starts. Takes half an hour to get to point y. Need at least an hours heads up. Now for the legal crap. Hmmm O yes other staff and supervisors will tell you to manipulate what really happens. say x client is incapable of seeing , they can not help you make dinner but they want you to put down x client made dinner with staff assistance. X folded laundry with staff assistance, X cleaned house with staff assistance. They say their helping these clients get back into the world, and or making their lives better. but they tell you to lie on official legal documents. the exact same documents that are reviewed to see what needs changed to further them in life. The exact same documents that tell us to manipulate the words and actions on or the same documents used to come up with a new ISP.
