You are mainly paid for working extra hours on weekends. I felt discriminated against, and issues were often handled poorly and in a personal manner. As an intern, you're not treated as part of the team. Some tasks even included cleaning the office, which felt inappropriate for the role. There was also almost nobody to learn from, as the environment lacked proper guidance or mentorship.

Getting to work with organisations and/or charities that are raising funds for worthwhile causes. Travelling interstate and even internationally at times for events - love getting to see parts of the world I may not have considered prior. Whilst mainly an event management role there are still sales incentives. The higher ups always willing to negotiate or talk what progression levels are possible for each individual, you just need to bring it to the table to discuss if you haven't been approached. There are plenty of pathways that have yet to be explored. Lots of flexibility (within reason) in the offices.

Stock standard but in the busy periods when there is a lot of travel involved for the events it can be exhausting but that just comes with the trade of working in an events based environment that covers 2 states/territories in each office.
