Pros
- A relatively good place to kick-start your career. - You have a certain level of autonomy to influence technical decisions. - Had been quite stable until the recent 2 rounds of layoffs. - Teammates are nice. - Standard Finnish company benefits (commuting, phone, recreational, STIP bonus,...)
Cons
- Career progression is nearly non-existent. Management seems not to have a clear vision for the product, nor to facilitate career growth. - Since the roadmap for career progression is poor, expect wages to stagnate. - Overall, Helvar is a good company for someone who wants to kick-start their career or who is looking for coasting until retirement.
