Cons
As a small company with many clients you often find yourself drowning in service tickets of every nature (usually highly complex issues), even as an entry level person. This makes you feel overworked but the low pay and minimal benefits are far from justifying coping with the stress. The lack of structure often makes your job more difficult and inefficient. Training for newer employees is inadequate and does not set you up for success. As you stay there longer and gain more experience more and more is asked of you without any incentive to do more. The nature of many tickets takes a great deal of time to resolve but when your ticket resolution times go down because of this, your performance is questioned in an unhelpful manner and leaves you feeling more stressed than productive (upon trying to explain myself on this I was literally told to be quiet). The owner is pretty cut throat and is not afraid to go off on you about things, this management style leaves you with a bad taste. The level of knowledge you have to absorb about different clients, processes, personnel, and systems is immense and difficult to navigate, even with the established knowledge base (which can be incomplete or inaccurate). Nowhere to move up in company. Alot is asked of more senior employees.
