Pros
Work environment is good, talented and open employees are recruited which makes cooperation and collaboration relatively easy and enables quality work. Most of my colleagues have high level of respect to the other ones independent from nationality which creates a supportive, good and relatively honest environment (filtered of course with some unavoidable level of politics).
Cons
Appreciation stops many times only on the level of words. The company is very cheap when it comes to promotions, trainings etc. In recent years there is no training, ideally no travel (only for top management) and general hiring freeze (which makes life difficult for those who stay - more efforts for the same compensation). Promotions are also prolonged as much as possible to save on that as well, although the company is doing very well financially. If the company went through a difficult time and such measures were introduced temporarily, it would be understandable, but in this case the light cannot really be seen at the end of the tunnel and the belt is getting tighter and tighter without a strong reason. When it comes to communicate the results, everything is extraordinary good, so this creates further tension and employees can reasonably question, why then the company is saving so much on them. It is easy to find yourself with a very good rating indicating that you perform above expectations, however in return receive compensation & benefits below expectation (no trainings & travel despite promises, bonus cut on certain managerial level and delayed promotion despite the good rating and performance).
