At times, the complexity of the organizational structure and regional decision-making processes can slow down agility, especially when driving change across multiple countries. Navigating global vs. local priorities requires persistence and strong stakeholder alignment, which can be demanding in high-paced projects. Additionally, while there are many opportunities for development, the recognition and reward system might not always reflect the full extent of one’s contributions, especially in regions with tighter budget controls or different salary structures. Communication across functions and levels can also sometimes be inconsistent, making it essential to be proactive and clear when aligning expectations. Despite these challenges, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive – and I see these cons not as barriers, but as areas for continuous improvement, which I know Henkel is committed to addressing.
