Pros
Decent pay, be prepared to work 7am-6pm six days a week to get it though. Vacation time accrual is actually pretty decent, be sure to plan around your manager's needs to take it though. Absolutely OUTSTANDING holiday bonuses, with your choice of a $50 Publix Gift card, OR a Honey Baked Ham gift card.
Cons
Terrible management style, always painfully understaffed and pushed to complete work in an impossibly short amount of time. You may have 50-70 cars in the shop that you are responsible for at a time, with the expectation that you will call 70 customers a day to tell them that their car is not complete. If you don't complete those calls, you are chastised. Unrealistic expectations from management that generally require them to try and cook the books so they get their bonus. Management generally has a "Holier Than Thou" complex, which gets very tiring. If you do not get your pay plan to be what you want it to be when you are hired, you are stuck with it. The only way to get a raise here is to threaten to quit. I saw this happen multiple times and they just let the person go, and hired an inexperienced person in their place for half they pay. Every year or so pay plans change, and it is always a pay cut presented to you with the attitude "Sign it or get out". There is absolutely NO room for advancement unless you are a Porter. All upper management and Administrative staff is brought in from other companies/states and noone is given the opportunity to move their career further.
