Pros

Fantastic science being done at scale. Great people with true innovative ideas executing experiments and software deliverables. Also really appreciated the culture of work-life balance as well. Work was valued, and I never felt like anyone was looking over my shoulder to see when I would get it done. If I needed flexibility, I was granted it.

Cons

Having some technical abilities on a computer is necessary to interface with their system.

Pros

Great office park with shuttle, gym, free EV charging, and group activities. Flexible time off and subsidized lunches.

Cons

Frequent shifts in priorities driven by leadership’s interest in exploring new modalities sometimes outpace the organization's expertise in those areas. This can result in misaligned project goals and in-lab efforts being directed toward work that ultimately isn’t impactful. While the pace of change is ambitious, it’s not always supported by strategic planning or the technical depth needed to execute effectively, leading to avoidable delays and resource strain—especially challenging given existing budget and timeline constraints. Leadership has also highlighted to external partners the long hours scientists put in, presenting it as a sign of dedication. However, this often stems from limited planning and support rather than a sustainable or scalable approach, and can lead to employee burnout over time.
