Pros

Very disappointed with what direction this company has gone.

Cons

I'm very disappointed with the direction this company has gone. If you are thinking about applying at Highwire I would strongly recommend reconsidering. The CEO, Don Fornes, has no idea what he is doing and could care less about his employees. They have fired 10+ employees in the last 9 months; a handful of which were Managers, Directors, VPs, and Executives. Considering they are a relatively small company (less than 60 employees), this should concern everyone.

Highwire has evolved rapidly since new management joined two years ago. We went from being a bootstrapped, founder-led team of sixteen to a growth-equity-backed company with over 65 employees (and growing). We’ve aggressively expanded our team, opened a second office in Boise, added a new CEO & board of directors, and made the difficult decision to eliminate some positions that didn’t align with our new company goals and vision. We are confident that the decisions we’ve made were right for the company while acknowledging that so much rapid change was uncomfortable for some people, especially those that were let go. We believe in transparency, and our numbers tell the story. In the past 12 months, we’ve hired 39 new employees, promoted eight, let go of nine, and six left voluntarily. We are very excited about the team we’ve built and the culture we are establishing. As for Don, he’s got an impressive track record, but he’s always happy to sit down with candidates or employees and discuss our strategy.

Pros

- Excellent Leadership - Focussed Business Strategy - Upward Mobility within Company - Unlimited PTO - Company Culture Defined by Supportive Employees and Hard Work

Cons

This is a small company looking to grow. It requires a lot of grit and hard work. If you're just looking for a simple 9-5, this company probably won't be for you.

Pros

This is a good company for someone who wants to waste their days away in a cold, dreary office with negative executives who constantly belittle their employees in the name of 'intensity'... Really good comp.. or it was, atleast. I'm pretty sure they've gotten worse since I left. Money isn't worth misery

Cons

Long work days - they expect you to work well past 5 PM and publicly shame if you don't They are revenue driven in the worst way They let people go constantly with very little insight into why - I left on my own, but know of multiple people who were cut off cold turkey for very little reason besides budget and reorg The CEO bullies and belittles employees constantly - and it WAY too involved in sales/engineering. Doesn't let the VPs do their job properly and confuses employees with back and forth If you value your personal life, I'd steer very clear of this place
