Pros
- Emphasis on building good teamwork. - Work load is relatively balanced. Heavy workload is expected only during high season. - Pay can be quite good depends on experience.
Cons
- A lot of incompetent people at top level including management, product owners and solution architects that create more conflicts and problems. - Not ethical. Company will try to quiet fire employees to avoid layoffs formal (E.g. No career progression etc). - Management constantly looking at cutting corners to achieve timeline hence, leading to the development team delivering sub-par quality products. - Lack of innovation(often outsource skills and expertise). - Management are focusing on India location. (I.e. career progression doesn't exist since opportunities are available only in India unless you move to India) - Extremely bad office politics. Leading to a lot of gaslighting from management and a lot of frictions cross departments. - Organizational change happens almost every quarter. Seems like top management is still figuring out how to stabilize the business and operation. - Management likes to talk about career progression within the company but promotion criteria are not transparent and internal job application is treated just the same as external applicants. Why do I need to go through another cultural fit interview when I am already a permanent employee within the company?
