Pros

Room to learn in all areas of recruitment - access to many different recruiting tools

Cons

Manipulative and inconsistent leadership style - partners publicly scold and humiliate employees in front of entire company - few jobs to work on and only given positions with companies that candidates do not want to work for due to bad culture, low pay, etc. - micromanagement - low brand awareness - low morale among recruiters as we are constantly verbally beaten down by management - even as the recruiter with the highest earned gross profit in 2023, I earned low commission and base pay compared to market - treatment at HireCapital depleted both my mental and physical health

Pros

I have worked at other staffing firms but finally found my home at HireCapital. Great clients that candidates love, and it's fulfilling to send candidates to employers that will empower them to progress in their careers. HireCapital is very selective in who they'll represent- they partner with mission-driven, innovative organizations and get to know their clients well. I have seen recruitment firms choose to represent bad companies and force their employees to do so just to collect a check, and this is not the case here. Collaborative and supportive management- they're always willing to train and share decades of expertise here. I've learned a lot. There are different styles of management here but I find they all welcome feedback and employee expertise is valued, which is partially why we've been a successful team. Solid team- everyone gets along, egos get checked at the door and everyone is nice to each other. We all get along. Great tech- We work with several job boards/sourcing tools and any request made has been granted. Good business outlook- the business development team knows how to hunt and bring in good clients, and the recruiters are dedicated to filling those roles.

Cons

Small firm- may not be for those who view this profession as a stepping stone to other careers. It's a tough business that not everyone is cut out for, but there's lots of opportunity here for those who care.

Pros

Team is dedicated to helping you grow and become your best. Because it's a small start-up, there's unlimited opportunity for advancement as a recruiter or account manager. A diverse team that embraces what makes you different. Ability to work remotely while learning from leaders who have been successful in the industry for over 20 years and work just as hard as anyone. Leadership also invests in continuous training for employees. Great reputation in the market so we always have roles to fill! The recruiters really care about their candidates and the account managers have good relationships with their clients. I'm not sure why a previous reviewer gave a low score for diversity - we have a really diverse team and everyone's viewpoints are welcomed.

Cons

You do have to work hard to be successful, but that's any staffing job - there are highs and lows that come with the territory. Also, it's a start-up so there aren't as many resources as at a larger company.
