This is very specific to the Chennai office aka INOPC. If you are expecting growth, salary hikes, fast-paced and competitive working environment, especially in operations, then this is not the place for you. You may get your expected ctc to begin with, but then you wont have more than 1-3% p.a. hike after that. Mgmt expect you to be mediocre doing the same repetitive tasks and and will therefore keep you paid below market value. Better to accept an offer and jump ship after 2 years. Higher management, esp when it comes to middle-aged people, still have the colonial hangover. Extremely male-dominated workplace, with a mild undercurrent of misogyny. Might not be suited for ambitious youngsters (particularly in operations). If you already have a good financial backing, but looking you keep yourself occupied without worrying about inflation, this is the place for you. They are highly anti-travel and even if there is a client requirement to partake in international business meetings, the management will try their best to stop you from going, unless it is on-the-ground commissioning works.
