Pros

- Lower busy season hours than big4 (at least at staff level) - Staff and senior level community is exceptional - Ability to see the big picture of an audit even at staff level - Good variety of industries to choose from

Cons

- Managers and partners refuse to admit that they could be the problem contributing to high turnover rates, instead witch hunting staff and seniors to solve the problem - Inconsistent communication regarding COVID quarantine policies and WFH accommodations leaves employees feeling in the dark - Managers and partners encourage upward communication but refuse to communicate downward, saying that “there’s lots going on behind the scenes” but giving vague information at best - Inconsistencies between offices (particularly OK vs. AR offices) and even between industry teams in offices - Seniors are often left to manage their jobs, leaving them overworked and that stress falling down to the staff as well - Employees (many of the best they had, I might add) who choose to leave are subject to retaliation

Pros

Great people but tone at the top sucks

Cons

* Not an ideal workplace for entry-level employees. * Office politics are highly prevalent. * Compensation is relatively low compared to expectations and responsibilities. * The organization continues to hire new employees despite some existing staff not having a full workload. * The work culture is highly corporate, with several drawbacks commonly associated with large corporate environments. * Performance evaluations can feel inconsistent, as some evaluators may lack adequate self-awareness or objective assessment skills. * Micromanagement is excessive and can limit employee autonomy and growth.
