Pros

On the whole people are very friendly and helpful. Positive attitude to health and safety (providing it doesn't cost anything!)

Cons

Too corporate now LafargeHolcim are in charge. Takes too long to get a decision which always revolves around the bottom line benefit and not the people. Company will make a profit of millions this year but has implemented draconian cost saving measures and is making significant redundancies across the board, as results are falling short of parent company expectations. Staff retained are expected to cover other people's jobs when they are made redundant / leave without any compensation, as there is a recruitment and pay freeze. Lack of career progression - especially for women.
