Pros

Great pay for CDL Guide. Lots of hours and lots of tips from guests. A fun way to meet new people. If you are a sociable person you will thrive in this job. Awesome management in Skagway. Skagway is beautiful and you will have lots of time to explore on your free days. Employee housing is taken care of and cheap at HAP, not many other Skagway companies have that.

Cons

Local groceries are expensive and its a 3-hour drive into Canada to the nearest Walmart. Shipping packages from amazon can be spotty, sometimes they come fast sometimes they don't come at all. If you are not a social person then you might have trouble in this job. You will be talking to guests from a cruise ship for long stretches of time. If the AC on the bus decides not to work you will be talking to sweaty irritated guests for long stretches of time.

Working west coast hours from the east coast.
