Pros
Easy job for what you get paid. It's one of the busiest retailers so you're not bored. Can be fun working with staff and management of your store Brand is going the right direction so they're at least not hiring based on looks anymore You do grow yourself as a person
Cons
It's retail, so your work and life balance isn't quite there as you'll be working all sorts of shifts.. Evenings, overnight, weekends, Boxing Day. They promote you if your district manager and regional manager like you or unless they are desperate and have no one else (not based on performance which is frustrating and makes most people leave) No benefits Not much managing in terms of merchandise as everything is set to standard and you're not allowed to change it unless presentations have sold down When you get promoted the pay isn't much hire so managers don't actually work that hard to earn the next step No incentives for assistant managers or staff and even the incentive for SM/GM is minimal Poor manager retention
