Pros

The residents are kind and rewarding to work with. The community has the potential to be a positive workplace with stronger leadership support and investment in staff.

Cons

Cons In my experience, leadership does not consistently advocate for or support frontline and mid-level teams. Senior leadership and some directors appear disconnected from daily operations, which can make it difficult for employee concerns to be addressed effectively. Turnover is high. I observed managers terminating employees without sufficient training, coaching, or progressive feedback. Expectations are often unclear, and onboarding does not adequately prepare employees for success. I also observed hiring practices that appeared to favor personal or family connections. These individuals were sometimes placed into roles without the same level of accountability or performance expectations as others, which negatively impacted morale and perceptions of fairness. Compensation is lower than market for many non-leadership roles. Pay does not appear negotiable regardless of prior experience, education, or tenure, which makes retention challenging. Human Resources, in my experience, lacks professionalism and approachability. Communication can feel dismissive, and employees may not feel comfortable raising concerns or asking for guidance. Overall, the organization appears to be governed by a board that is removed from the day-to-day experiences of lower-level staff. Employee well-being and long-term retention do not seem to be prioritized.
