Pros
- Pay is decent, yet what is required of you, I'd say the pay should be more. - On job training in various pet foods.
Cons
- Terrible work environment - Terrible Management - Terrible work life balance Expectations are through the roof at this job. You are a retail associate, yet you are expected to operate at the highest caliber of personnel that would even make a CEO spit out his coffee. This company has been one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure to work for. See, I was an employee of a company they bought out. At the OLD company, we prided ourselves on serving the customer first and foremost. Sure, we had goals, but the first priority was the customer. Then, when Hollywood Feed bought the company out that all changed. What once was serving the customer became making the company the most money first, and putting the customer second, contrary to what they state. They push you to peddle items that a customer will say they don't want. They want you to mentally manipulate every customer into thinking that if they don't feed food from their store, they aren't taking care of their animal. Then with employee treatment... Again, you are expected to operate at a efficiency that isn't and should not be expected of a retail worker. I have worked a retail job very similar to this one and the treatment you get there is way better than the treatment you get here. So please, if you have an interview here or aim to work here at least on a retail level, please do yourself a favor and search elsewhere. I want them to be better, I dont mean anything out of malice, I just believe this company has a lot of issues they need to fix.
