Pros
There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained at HMI from operations to supply to sales and marketing. The open designed office is a visually pleasing work environment with perks like free coffee, stand-up desks, and first Friday staff lunches/parties. It is a terrific company to find your niche or area of expertise if you are floundering around without a direction in your career.
Cons
Turnover on top of turnover on top of turnover, and no one seems to care. HMI chooses to operate with a ridiculously lean staff making it impossible to complete all of the daily responsibilities to maintain some sense of order or even come close to meeting the sales requirements for an insulting bonus each quarter. You are expected to live to work and are held to an extreme level of performance. Arriving on time and leaving on time were frowned upon. There was also most certainly a group of favorites that seemed to be untouchable. Any promotions or title changes were always handed out to the less deserving, sycophants.
