Pros
Pay is somewhat competitive and there is opportunity for high performers to be promoted. If you have nothing else going on and can work excessive hours, you will be rewarded.
Cons
Expectations are unrealistic and failure to reach them is punished. Also, expectations change constantly which shows a disconnect between what stores actually experience on a day to day basis and what upper, senior level management thinks happens in stores. Work life balance for management is not good. This is not a 40-50 hour job. The way merchandise is shipped, processed and merchandised is extremely laborious and tedious. All team members including store management will work extremely hard. This is a very physical job. Pay to hourly associates is not good. Teamed with the hard work demanded of everyone, there is high attrition and it is very hard to maintain talented store teams. Schedules for truck, markdowns and merchandising change constantly, even after store schedules have been posted. This causes management to constantly move shifts around and ask people to work different hours than what was originally scheduled.
