Pros

Flexibility but not enough to compensate for all of the cons.

Cons

I had a client reach out to me to tell me she had left a nice review and gave me a $10 tip yesterday. Well, tip never received, and the review wasn’t even reflecting. You’re supposed to get a bonus when you have a high score based on the first two numbers (ex. 1800 score = $18 bonus every pay period) but, for the last few weeks the company has been consistently lowering my score for seemingly no reason as I was following all guidelines, completing all cleanings and receiving 5 star reviews. I went from 1800 to 1300 in about 4-5 days. I am supposed to be getting 100 points for every job completed, well, instead of giving me 100, they were taking it away and never adding to my score. This would prevent me from receiving the bonus, being a top cleaner who can receive the perk of free instant pay outs instead of waiting for a bank transfer weekly, and eventually, my score would be too low to accept jobs. It took them an entire week , 7 days at least to fix this problem but all they did was give me my score of 1800 back. I was supposed to be at well over 2000 by then. I reached out to let them know that I wasn’t satisfied with their solution and because they never even responded to me once to assure me they’d fix the problem, or tell me why my score was lowered in the first place. Well, in addition to the missing review and tip yesterday, my score was 2100, I received my rightful points from houses as I should, but it was knocked down to 1950? 150 points gone? No reason. Lowering my score, stealing my tips, hiding my reviews. For every new client, you lose $5 an hour for a reason that is not explained well enough for me to pass on because I do not understand it. So if you set your rate to $25/hr, do expect you’ll be getting only $20/hr most of the time unless you’re lucky enough to get repeat clients. This is an awful practice and I have disagreed with this one the most. When a client doesn’t answer their door, calls or texts they require you to wait outside the hole for 30 minutes, and to make 3 phone calls 10 minutes apart while you’re still on the property before you can claim it as a lockout and receive a sad $20. You hardly ever get compensated for client cancellations, and you do not get compensated for clients rescheduling, so there is no income security at all. Oh and yes, the deactivation and pay $25 for activation is such exploitation of labor. You are penalized for every little reschedule even if it’s just by an hour and for every cancelation, so pretty much if you’re going through life, this is more than likely not the type of flexibility you were looking for. There is no phone number, no text or chat feature, you can send a ticket or an email and you will never get a response. So pretty much, they are going to penalize you for problems they should be fixing, because they refuse to be present to fix them. Would not recommend. Also beware, They have about 5+ sister companies as well. All the same awful employer. Do you research to avoid them.

Pros

The main benefits are being able to make my own schedule and receiving same-day pay

Cons

Clients have disputed or misrepresented the actual hours I worked, even after confirming and agreeing to additional time. In those situations, the company has refunded the client, but I still completed the work and should be paid for the hours I worked. There have also been multiple occasions where I arrived at a new client’s location as scheduled and was immediately told to leave, sometimes in an unprofessional or disrespectful manner. I still spent time traveling to the job and showing up as instructed.
