Pros

Remote work. That's it, the only benefit

Cons

- Extreme micromanagement and favouritism. It was evident that the manager did not like me for no particular reason, and did not even try to hide it. Excessive control and criticism, often accused me of things that were not my fault and questioned my quality of work continuously. When I reached out about her and her ways to HR I got laid off shortly after. - The colleagues were a clique, very unfriendly and in some ways very unprofessional. - Very toxic environment, it was a relief to not work there anymore

Pros

Some nice colleagues Working remote

Cons

Firstly, it became evident that individual opinions carry little weight within the company culture. Whether you're an inbound sales manager or an intern, your voice is often disregarded, and goals are subject to abrupt changes, directly impacting your salary and job satisfaction. Furthermore, the leadership structure is flawed, with individuals promoted to managerial positions lacking essential knowledge of their team's responsibilities. Instead of offering guidance, they dispense advice without understanding the intricacies of the job, leading to frustration and inefficiency. One of the most alarming aspects is the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the new manager. Instances of verbal abuse, including screaming matches, were not uncommon, especially when dissenting opinions were voiced. This hostile environment created a sense of fear and unease among employees, hindering productivity and morale. Moreover, the HR department's ineffectiveness exacerbated existing issues. Rather than addressing employee concerns and providing support, their focus seemed misplaced, primarily centered around administrative tasks like sick notes. This negligence resulted in the departure of valuable team members, including some of the company's most talented individuals. In conclusion, my tenure at Homelike is marred by a toxic work environment, ineffective leadership, and a disregard for employee well-being. I urge anyone considering joining the company, whether as an Inbound Sales Manager, Customer Success Manager, Account Manager, or intern, to proceed with caution and carefully evaluate the potential challenges they may face. It's disheartening to see a company ignore the departure of top talent, signaling a need for significant organizational change.
