Pros

- My manager has been great the entire time in working with me despite the fact that I've continuously failed to hit metrics - My manager has been transparent with me about how I'm doing and the timeline I have before I get fired - If you like cold-calling and selling a product that's a disruptor in an industry where you have to educate the audience on what the product does, this job is for you - If you're a very confident salesperson who doesn't mind calling the same list of 500 people week in and week out, you'll thrive in this role

Cons

- Everyone is constantly annoyed with you: Prospects, clients, managers, even your coworkers - When you're hot, you're hot, when you're not, you might as well be invisible - Required to cold-call the same list of 500 people week in and week out - eventually, everyone either remembers you, hates you, or you didn't sell them and have to make up a reason for calling them (you're forced to average 80+ dials per day) - Required to berate your clients by calling them every day (sometimes multiple times a day) to get them on the phone for "servicing" - sometimes clients cancel because they hate how much you call them, and it's your fault - Commissions are heavily taxed as "bonuses," and cancels count against your monthly net new even if you didn't sell that person and they were randomly assigned to you - Quotas are extremely difficult to make - you can do all the work and meet expectations day in and day out and still get put on the PIP - Effort does not matter - only metrics and results

Pros

sharp selling skills, great young coworkers, used to be a fun place to work

Cons

stressful, poor pay, extremely low ROI, you're probably not going to make a commission check after being around for 1 year+
