Pros

Joining UOP Honeywell was a mistake

Cons

UOP is no more customer friendly company. It is now uop Honeywell. It is one of the most expensive licensor. UOP honeywell management is incapable of making customer friendly decisions. Service charge and Travel service charge that UOP Honeywell charge customer is in the range of several thousand dollars. This is done on the name of providing good service engineers to customers and sending service engineers by Business Class. Majority of UOP Honeywell engineers are fresh from college. As compared to other licensors UOP service engineers are not fit even for 10% of service charge that UOP charge. UOP Honeywell engineers come by cheapest possible economy class. UOP also charges customer money on the name of meal, but when it comes to paying thier engineers money for meal, UOP Honewell even pockets that money. Honeywell is looking to sell UOP but after cheating and extracting money from UOP customers. In next to to three years UOP will be dumped.

Pros

The team is great and people are excited to have you there. You are given value-added work and projects week 1. There are a lot of other interns at both the graduate and undergraduate level so there is a strong sense of intern community and support. If you have to relocate for the internship, complete housing is provided (they find you an apartment and pay for everything - results on the apartment itself may vary but are generally close to the office).

Cons

Varying start dates led to varying first day experience. The onboarding day for those who had it day 1 was great, but some interns got it after their first week and had little direction day 1.
